Didn’t quite make the deadline, but this is what we hatched up this weekend for the 48hr film festival. Criteria: Drama - Winston Weatherbee (gardener) - “You win some, you lose some”.

This flick was completely, 100% batshit, out-of-control, amazing. Something I will be revisiting many, many times.

Duality: The Movie

With our second feature “The Darkness Within” recently being picked up to screen at the Magnolia Film Festival, we’ve decided to finally make our first flick “Duality” available (in one piece).

We shot this flick throughout 2006 and had this completed cut in June of 2007. It was budgeted at roughly $7,000 and was our first effort at putting together a full-length motion picture. It’s a crime/comedy, not dissimilar to the early work of filmmakers like Richard Linklater, Kevin Smith or Quentin Tarantino (although I would never dare to say it’s as good as the aforementioned artists work, it was put together in a low-budget, guerilla-style fashion akin to many of the emerging filmmakers in the early to mid 90’s.)

So, if you have an hour and a half to kill, please feel free to give it a look or even provide some comments/criticism. “Duality” has never found solid distribution, but has seemed to connect to a modest audience via the internet. We have no agenda with this film, are seeking no monetary gain, our single hope is that fans of independent cinema may simply be entertained by it.

Crazy scene from “There Will Be Blood”. If you haven’t seen this flick, you should. Daniel Plainview is one of the great cinematic villains.

Every time I watch this trailer I immediately wanna sit down and rewatch this flick.

Probably the saddest and most beautiful montage I’ve ever seen in a film.

“The American Nightmare”

Rad documentary about horror flicks from the late 60’s - 70’s juxtaposed to the social/political events occuring at that time which may have inspired the filmmakers. Give it a peep.

An observation about the highly underrated film “Copland”

My first full length film - “Duality”. Shot entirely in my hometown of Boston between 2006-2007 for a budget of under $7,000. If you’ve got 95 minutes to kill and dig independent films of the Kevin Smith/Quentin Tarrantino persuasion, you may enjoy it.

Short flick of mine that was created for the 24 Hour Boston Film Race last year. 

We were assigned the theme of “dating” with a surpise element [action of “fluffing a pillow”]. “Double Date” landed in the top 10 in for our city.

This competition rolls through town again next month - can’t wait!!!
